Six people have been reported missing after leaving Yadua Village in Gau yesterday afternoon.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the six were traveling on board a fiberglass boat with the name “Daveta Flyer” written on both sides of the boat in blue reflective sticker.

Naisoro says the boat is captained by a 31-year-old villager of Yadua and five men from Yadua and Vadravadra villages.

She says when the six failed to arrive at the FNU Maritime Shores, Laucala Bay at 9pm yesterday, the captain’s father residing in Wainivula reported the matter.

Search and rescue has been activated.
