The Navy Rescue Coordination centre with a police team found the six people near Wakaya Island.

Six people who were reported to be drifting at the Lomaiviti waters have been found.

Police say the six left Vuma village yesterday afternoon to go fishing, however they had an engine problem and were adrift.

A police team from Levuka along with the Navy Rescue Coordination centre were deployed and later found the six people near Wakaya Island.

The six are safe and currently at Wakaya Island.
