Six arrested for Meth possession

Six people are being questioned in relation to the discovery of white substances believed to be methamphetamine following an early morning raid by officers from the Nabua Police Station in Namadi Heights, Suva.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms the raid resulted in the seizure of dried leaves believed to be marijuana, apparatus believed to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines, cash and other items.

Two women and four men were arrested and one of whom is in his 50s – and believed to be heading the illegal trade.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has sent a strong warning that those involved in such activities will be caught and brought to justice.

Meanwhile, a raid was also conducted in Labasa and a man’s been arrested for possession of more than 700 sachets of dried leaves and seeds believed to be marijuana.
