The government will soon develop a master plan for significant upgrade of the Ports.

Public Enterprise Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says ports are a critical infrastructure which need to be kept up to par.

Sayed-Khaiyum says the Fiji Ports Corporation Limited has shown progress this year.

‘’The most important thing is that the Port whether upgraded or the new port must be modern and efficient and it must be able to attract more ships to Fiji’’.

Fiji Ports Corporation has also reduced its debt from $17.9million to $7.2m.
