Sigatoka Town Council Chief Executive, Tulsi Ram, has urged residents to stay indoors and prepare for TC Winston as they are currently experiencing heavy rain and strong winds.

Ram adds they have been on standby from yesterday helping the public put up shutters of the buildings in town and also cleaned up drains to prevent flash flooding.

He adds they are also working closely police officers in advising the public to do their preparations and assist residents if the need arises.

The Sigatoka Village Hall is currently the only evacuation centre open.
