Arrangements can be made for senior citizens of the country who cannot make it to voter registration centres – to be registered at home.

Elections Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says there have been many requests and queries about elderly and sick people who cannot go to registration centres.

We are taking names down and we’ll make special arrangements to go out to them but of course this is only for people who most definitely cannot leave their homes.

He adds government would like everyone – including Fiji nationals living abroad to register.
