A new double storey building will be built at the Shreedhar Maharaj College, in Wainibokasi, Nausori.
The double story building will facilitate students during split classes as they are currently using a shed to accommodate students.
Education Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum while officiating at the ground breaking ceremony thanked various faith based organizations and local communities for their contribution in the education sector.
“Throughout Fiji there are so many schools that have been started by faith based organizations or local communities, various organizations that have been non-governmental organizations. If these faith based organizations, if these faith based organizations had not set-up the schools – government through-out would have been struggling to provide education facilities."
The building is set to be completed by the next school year.
The College has 397 students.
