Concerns have been raised on the shortage of medicine in most health facilities.

The Health Ministry says they are expecting a consignment of medical supplies later this month from Asian countries.

Chief Pharmacist- Apolosi Vosanibola says buying medicines from those countries is for a reason.

‘Basically for two reasons and that is to support government initiative on Look North Policy and as well as the pricing structure is much cheaper compared to other developed countries.’

$9m were allocated by government for the purchasing of medicines from overseas.
