Dr Neil Sharma has tendered in his resignation as a member of the FijiFirst government.

Therefore, as provided for under the 2013 Constitution, he has vacated his seat as a Member of Parliament.

As required under the Constitution, FijiFirst has informed the Speaker of Parliament of Dr Neil Sharma’s resignation and has also drawn her attention to Section 64 (1) which allows the appointment of the next available candidate from FijiFirst.

It is likely that the next person who will take the now vacant seat is Jilila Nalibu Kumar.
