Sexual harassment is unwelcome behaviour: Ali

September 5, 2015 8:04 pm

Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual behaviour, which would make a person feel offended, humiliated or intimidated.

Fiji Women’s Crisis Center Coordinator Shamima Ali says women need to be smart about making important notes about their harasser when wanting to lodge a report about it.

“If it’s happening to people they should record and if it’s happening in the workplace, record the incidents, the dates and everything. The harasser often does it out of sight of other people, so therefore you have to keep a very good record, tell other people about it and you know tell the police about it or you come to the Crisis Center.”
