A seventy-five-year-old woman of Teidamu, Lautoka died following an accident yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred along the Kings Road near Teidamu when the rear left tyre of a vehicle driven by a thirty-one-year-old man came off and hit the victim.

She was selling mangoes by the roadside.

The victim was conveyed to the Lautoka Hospital at midday and died later in the afternoon.

The driver also sustained injuries and is yet to be questioned by Police.

Investigations continue and a post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
