October 26, 2015 1:12 am

The Mineral Resources Department has announced that people will be allowed to use fireworks from 5pm to midnight on Diwali day – which is on 11th of November.

Like in previous years, the two-hour extension comes in to effect, with all other days, people only allowed to use fireworks from 5pm-10pm.

Department Senior Technical officer, Onisimo Fonmanu, says they also have a strict policy on which type of fireworks can be sold to the public.
