Civil servants around the country have been encouraged to serve the needs of the people when and wherever their services are warranted.

With the on-going civil service reform taking place in many Ministries, numerous changes are expected this year.

Permanent Secretary for Civil Service Bernadette Welch says there will be more staff development training to ensure Fijians receive the best service.

“Offering training across the civil service, we support it by rolling out the customer care facility firstly in health and we are going to be doing that across other parts of the service.”

Welch says these self-development trainings will ensure services provided to the public are of high standard.
