Minister for Agriculture Inia Seruiratu has encouraged Agricultural Officials to deliver efficient, effective and high-quality services to customers.
Seruiratu says it is great to see stakeholders united for the launch of the 2018-2019 Costed Operational Plan for the Ministry.
He says the launch of this COP is symbolic of the Ministry’s hard work and the plan provides a clear indictaion of tasks, costs and responsibilities in line with the Ministry’s strategies, goals and objectives.
Seruiratu adds that this ensures a standard framework to measure and monitor implementation of programme and in improving processes and systems in place.
He says the Ministry will ensure an efficient, effective and high quality service delivery to their customers.
Seruiratu adds that the new structure will improve MOA’s visibility on the ground, increasing the extension officer to farmers’ ratio, currently estimated at 1:1000.
The Costed Operational Plan was attended by officers of the Ministry of Agriculture and stakeholders.
