Sentencing today

Two men will be sentenced today in relation to the human trafficking case that found the men guilty on counts of Slavery and domestic trafficking of children.

Three assessors last week found the two men guilty on all nine charges laid against them by the state.

The first accused, Inoke Raikadroka, was found guilty on seven charges however the second accused, Mohammad Sagaitu, has only two.

The two men trafficked two girls aged 15 and 17 and a 20-year-old woman between Suva and Nadi.

Judge Justice Paul Madigan is expected to sentence the two men at 10 am this morning.
