A senior officer at the Ministry of Trade has been earmarked to take up the post of Fiji’s new Trade Commissioner to Papua New Guinea.

Principal Economist Navitalai Tuivuniwai is expected to take up the new posting.

Fiji’s High Commissioner to PNG Esala Teleni says he is grateful a new Trade Commissioner has been appointed and is looking forward to meeting the new appointee.

Teleni says he hopes to meet with the Ministry of Trade to discuss further about the new Trade Commissioner’s posting and other details.
