Air Traffic Controllers spokesperson Kolokesa Kini has been terminated

Air Traffic Controllers spokesperson Kolokesa Kini has been terminated.

The decision comes following Kini’s disciplinary hearing before the internal dispute committee.

Kini was part of the group that took various forms of leave and demanded a salary increase from the Fiji Airports Management in March.

However, the Arbitration Court had then ruled that the group had gone on an illegal strike.

Speaking to FBC News, the former senior Air Traffic Controller says the termination letter was delivered to his home on Friday.

Kini says he accepts the decision.

He was one of the eight employees who went through a disciplinary hearing.

Out of the eight, four have been reinstated and four terminated.
