Security woes to end with new Lagilagi police post

Residents of the PCN Lagilagi Housing complex and those living in the neighboring squatter settlements will soon have tightened security.
Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho, met with PCN officials to recently look at the site where a Police Post will be built in Lagilagi at Jittu Estate, Suva.
The PCN in a statement says Lagilagi Housing residents and nearby communities have been pressing them for a Police Post to deal with the rise in crime in the area.
The PCN says they are grateful to the Police Commissioner for responding to their plea.
Brigadier General Qiliho says he is grateful that PCN has given them a piece of the real estate to build on.
Police commissioner adds that they will be responsible for the police post and its construction.
Issues relating to the sub-lease of the site for the Police post will be finalized soon and construction will commence as soon as the discussions are over.
The resident’s living in Jittu Estate are currently reporting urgent cases either at the Raiwai or the Raiwaqa stations.
