The Education Ministry is planning to make education compulsory for students at the secondary school level.

Speaking on FBC TV’s 4 the Record programme last night, Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy said there are some things that still need to be sorted out.

“There’s a reason why we have not gone down that line because we wanted to first ensure that we makes schools accessible for parents and children. Once we have done that then we can come up with a legislation of compulsory education.”
