Second suspect charged in WU robbery

A second suspect alleged to be involved in the Western Union robbery in September has been arrested and charged.

The 46 year old man residing in Kinoya has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and will appear with the first accused at the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Police confirm that money believed to have been stolen during the robbery was recovered during the arrest executed by the Southern Division taskforce team.

A total of $113,000 and assorted items were stolen from two employees at the Western Union branch at Damodar Shopping Complex in Suva.
