Second education stakeholders meeting
The Australian Government Support to the Fiji Education Program shared key ideas, activities and its Year 2 priorities in Suva today.
More than 50 education stakeholders were part of the second education stakeholders meeting.
The meeting was an opportunity for representatives from various organizations to collectively deliberate and provide advice.
Counsellor, Development Cooperation Joanna Houghton reaffirmed the Australian Government’s commitment to supporting the strategic priorities of the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts (MEHA) through the Program.
The Program is committed to being responsive to the strategic priorities of the education sector in the country.
Houghton says it is timely to consult with education stakeholders to ensure that their support remains targeted, demand driven and has a sustainable impact.
Permanent Secretary for Education, Alison Burchell says the support from the Australian Government has enabled the Ministry to move forward on several fronts, complementing initiatives to modernize education.
