Police are still searching for a 21-year-old man who is believed to be the driver of the vehicle that plunged into the Rewa River near Kasavu, Nausori yesterday morning.
The man who was driving a silver Prius allegedly failed to negotiate a bend, lost control of the vehicle and as a result it landed into the river at around 5am.
The body of the passenger a 25-year-old man from Baulevu was retrieved around mid-day yesterday.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says a group of divers and officers from the Police Special Response Unit are leading the search along the Rewa River.
She says the search has been difficult in the past few hours as visibility is very poor.
Family members have confirmed to FBC News the missing driver picked the deceased from Baulevu for a morning pick up run and was on his way to Nausori to pick his second passenger when they got into an accident.
