Police continue to search for a man missing at sea who was a passenger on the ill-fated Kaiwai that sunk off Bukama Island in the Yasawa’s early yesterday morning.

Two men believed to be South Korean nationals have died, their bodies recovered yesterday and the third, a Fiji national remains missing and is feared dead.

The cargo barge is believed to have hit some rough weather when it went down east of Bukama Island with 12 persons on board.

Nine of the 12 were able to swim ashore to the nearby island finding shelter at Logana village.

Police and local authorities continue to investigate the cause of the mishap.
