Schools to change ethnic names

May 1, 2012 7:01 pm

Ten schools remain to change their ethnic names in the country.

Education Ministry Permanent Secretary Doctor Brij Lal says these schools have already changed their names but haven’t changed their bill boards.

“All the schools that have names such as Indian, Chinese, Fijian, they have made the change; we have given them new registration certificates. It may be they have not changed the school registration board but I have just written a circular that change in name should reflect on school letter heads, boards, monograms and other official documents.”
