The Ministry of Education will only allow western boarding schools to commence classes during the second week of holiday if they apply.

“In that hostel ,a number of students will be participating in the Coca Cola games as well as other hostel students will be leaving home .It will be very costly for them to go home and come back in the week one of holiday.”

Voravora says Natabua High School has also applied for classes to resume in the second week of the school holidays.

Schools in the west are looking at ways to make up for time lost during the recent floods.
