A 29-year-old teacher of Nakasi charged with one count of obstruction for allegedly tearing a search warrant appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

Kalo Hannif was arrested and charged following two drug raids conducted in the Eastern Division last Thursday night.

Police Prosecutor, Joseph Dickson objected to bail, saying that Hannif is an educated woman and should respect the police who are doing their duty.

Dickson added this case is of public interest.

He told the accused she will have to file a formal bail application while in remand.

The court will make a ruling on the 24th of this month.
