School Supplies provided for Children in need

Students of various primary schools in the old capital has received school stationeries including reading materials from the Minister for Women Children and Poverty Alleviation-Mereseini Vuniwaqa during her surprise visit yesterday.

Vuniwaqa encouraged these children to work hard to explore their potential and accomplish their dreams in the future.

She also highlighted the many educational reforms brought in by Government to make education accessible to every child irrespective of their personal circumstances.

These children have been pre-identified by schools as those still in need of school supplies after the beginning of the new school year.

Some stationeries were purchased by the ministry while the rest were donated by the Canterbury Banks town Council in New Zealand.
