Education Minister Rosy Akbar has issued a directive that various school head teachers and Principals should start teaching classes this year.

While speaking to various school heads in Suva yesterday, Akbar says it was brought to her attention that some of them don’t teach and this should not be the case.

“You’ve got to start teaching, you are the most experience person in the school.”

Akbar has also demanded transparency, accountability and the need for head teachers and principals to deliver quality service.

“Do justice please to your position as head, that is my expectations, get out of those comfort zones, some of you have a good office while some are not so good, and get out of that.” 

Akbar has reminded them to be firm and assertive while making decisions.
