Students around the country are advised that school begins next week Monday and not Tuesday.

This has been confirmed by Permanent Secretary for Education Iowane Tiko.

Tiko says boarding students will need to liaise with the school heads on when they need to be in school.

“We have expected Principals of our boarding schools to be proactive on that and they are the ones dealing on those days on which days the boarders march in and we are liaising with them that we expect classes to begin on the 15th."

He is advising parents and guardians to make ensure their children are in school on Monday.
