Savusavu electricity restoration to take a month

The restoration of electricity in Savusavu will take at least a month.

This was confirmed to the Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea during a briefing at the Divisional Emergency Operation Centre in Labasa.

Most power lines in and outside of Savusavu had fallen when TC Winston struck on Saturday.

Savusavu Town and it’s surrounding villages and residences have since been without electricity.

When FBC News visited Savusavu this week, power lines had fallen right cross roads, on the roads and even trees had fallen on some main power lines along the highway.
