Sanatan schools to close for Holi celebrations

All Sanatan schools will be closed this Friday to mark Hindu religious festival of Holi.

The Permanent Secretary for Education Alison Burchell has approved the closure of Sanatan schools.

Burchell has also requested school heads to plan remedial activities to compensate for the lost teaching and learning time.

She has also given her well wishes to the Sanatan schools for Holi celebrations.
Holi is an ancient Hindu religious festival.

The celebrations starts on the night before Holi where people gather, perform religious rituals in front of the bonfire, and pray that their internal evil be
destroyed.

The next day people smear each other with colors and drench each other.
