Practicing good sportsmanship, the Sabeto Roosters Rugby League Club from Nadi donated blood to the surviving victims of the horrific road accident which happened over the weekend.
Club’s president Apimeleki Niumataiwalu says their players wanted to help in any way possible.
He says they found out from Lautoka Hospital that the survivors needed blood.
“We went to Lautoka Hospital and nineteen of our Sabeto Roosters Club players donated blood that’s about nineteen pints of blood. The boys wanted to do something for the survivors of the accident which claimed lives.”
Niumataiwalu is urging others to do the same and donate blood at the Lautoka Hospital as they still need more blood.
He says the whole nation should come together and help the survivors and families of those who have passed away.
