Rural communities to also be part of economic development

February 22, 2018 7:40 pm

The Government will not allow communities in rural pockets of the country to languish on the sidelines of our economic development.

This was stated by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama as government continues to make special efforts in bringing services to all people.

Despite some Fijians being separated by great physical distances, Bainimarama says services provided by government will create a critical foundation of development.

“They need to be a part of our progress, contributing to our development and benefiting from our prosperity. And on the back of eight straight years of economic growth, my Government has carried out a programme of rural outreach that has brought previously unimaginable levels of opportunity to Fijians in some of the most remote corners of our country.”

Bainimarama says they will ensure that every Fijian across the country gets the assistance they deserve from government.
