The Suva Magistrates court was not ready to deliver a no case to answer ruling for the Prime Fiji Limited matter this morning.

The company is charged by FICAC with one count of forgery and one count of Using Forged Documents in 2016.

FICAC alleges Prime Fiji submitted a falsified Westpac Security Bond of over three hundred and fifty-one thousand dollars to the Fiji Roads Authority while negotiating a street light renewal agreement.

During the trial, Prime Fiji Limited had submitted that the company never intended to dishonestly induce the FRA.

They had further stated that their junior lawyer made a mistake and called the bank to inform them of the error.

However, the FICAC lawyer says the document submitted by Prime Fiji was false and they continued with business as usual.

The case has been adjourned to 15th of next month.
