The two suspects alleged to have been involved in the fifty thousand dollars robbery recently in Nadi appeared at the Lautoka High Court this morning.
Senitieli Boila and Eroni Baleinukulala appeared before Justice Sudarshana De Silva.
Senitieli Boila and Eroni Baleinukulala are alleged to have been involved in the fifty thousand dollars robbery from City Forex Exchange in Nadi last two weeks.
They are both charged with one count of aggravated robbery.
Boila asked the High Court for legal aid services and will re-appear on September 18th for mention.
Second suspect Eroni Baleinukulala had to be carried into the court room by police officers with visible injuries to his arms and legs.
Justice De Silva questioned Balenukulala as to how he had sustained the injuries to which he replied that he was assaulted by police officers.
He also told the court that the Nadi Magistrate’s Court had ordered that he be admitted in hospital again after his court hearing last week and should not be removed until he is cleared by medical authorities.
However, he alleges he hasn’t been taken back to the hospital and has been remanded in a cell.
During the hearing a mobile phone rang in Baleinukulala’s possession and had to be confiscated from him.
Both the accused will re-appear in court on the 18th of September.il has been denied.
