Roadside advertising illegal

The Land Transport Authority says it’s noticed an increase in the number of products advertised on the roads.

It says the practice is illegal.

LTA spokesperson Iliesa Sokia told FBC News, certain business houses are using strategic locations on the roads to hand out flyers and brochures.

Sokia says those involved in the practice are putting their lives at risk as well as those of other road users.

He says, such activities slow down traffic and compromise the safety of other road users.
