Several roads in the Central division have been closed following the recent heavy downpour.

The Fiji Roads Authority is urging the public to exercise extreme caution and avoid flooded areas.

FRA reveals that the old Naqali Bridge is now completely underwater and it’s anticipated that Savu Flats may be affected soon, if floodwaters continue to rise.

Roads closed in Naitasiri include Waisa and Waiwatu Crossing in Navulokani Road, Waimale Crossing in Navutu Road, Waidradra Crossing in Vatulili Road, Waila Crossing in Nataveya Road and Savu Road.

Other areas in Naitasiri include Muavesi Crossing and along Lomaivuna Loop Road on Lomaivuna Road.

The Authority also discloses that Muavesi Road is also closed as well as along the Muavesi Road and Nakuta Crossing on Viria Road.

In the Korovou area, Colata Crossing on Colata Road is also closed to traffic due to flooded waters.
