The Ratu Mara Road in Nabua is now open to all traffic.

A portion of the road was closed at midday after an electric pole fell across following an accident.

FBC News was at the scene and noticed the pole was broken in half, with the Energy Fiji Limited workers clearing up the damage.

The Fiji Roads Authority says motorists still need to exercise caution as the Nausori bound traffic has been reduced to a single lane until midnight allowing EFL to install a new pole and reconnect power to affected areas.

Meanwhile, Police is still awaiting a formal report regarding the incident.

It is still not clear at this stage how the incident occurred and if there were any reports of injuries.
