Ratu Kadavulevu road upgrade to improve safety for travelers

Major rehabilitation work on Ratu Kadavulevu Road is now completed.

Fulton Hogan Hiways (FHH) is working under the Fiji Roads Authority maintenance program to provide access to people in the Central, Northern and Eastern divisions.

Ratu Kadavulevu Road is 10km away from Nausori Town, serving more than 1,000 residents in farming settlements, villages, students attending district schools and also the island of Bau.

Fulton Hogan Hiways’ crew stabilized the road surface with cement and sealed it after all construction was completed.

The Ratu Kadavulevu Road works included the removal of high shoulders, cleaning of drains and waterways, overlaying of aggregates, grading, shaping, stabilizing and surfacing of the road.

The improvements is expected to make the road safer for all road users in this area with drainage improvements enabling easier and safe passing for cars and buses.
