Good news for Suva-Nausori commuters as the Nakasi-Nausori four-lane road is now fully operational.

Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive Jonathan Moore, says a few more touch-ups are expected and he is pleading to motorists to respect the new infrastructure.

Moore says they will also work on putting all power cables underground.

“So, that will take place in the next few months and it will not interfere with the road. The purpose of today is to open the road to four lanes for the convenience of the traffic users.”

Moore says the onus is now on the motorists to obey the road signs and drive within the 50km/hr speed limit.

The FRA has utilized more than $50million on the new 3.7km road.
