The second phase of upgrade work on Queen Elizabeth Drive in Suva will begin soon.

The Fiji Roads Authority has identified the contractor and is going through the final contractual discussions with them.

Chief executive, Jonathan Moore says the upgrade will continue from the State House through to Fletcher Road. 

“It will be a similar finish to the Queen Elizabeth Drive outside of the State House. We have extended it right through to the National Stadium now.”

The first phase of work includes rehabilitation of the road pavement, new asphalt surface, provision of parking and formalized parking areas in collaboration with the Suva City Council.
