The Fiji Roads Authority has completed road works at the Kasavu slip which is now fully operational.

Due to heavy rain during a tropical depression in 2016, a large slip at Kasavu/Baulevu Road Junction on Kings Road had occurred.

FRA Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore says they used the new technique involving reinforcement of the ground which gives the surface more stability.

Moore says the new and improved road will help reduce traffic congestion, improve journey times and safety for road users and the local community.
