The Fiji Roads Authority will focus on carrying out repair work on roads that has the greatest number of people residing nearby.
Under their Tarseal Road Projects, FRA’s Chief Executive Jonathan Moore says this is with the aim to improve accessibility for Fijians in densely populated areas.
Moore says there is a great need for tarsealing of many roads in the country and FRA will ensure that quality work is carried out.
“There’s 6000 kilometres of tarseal roads in Fiji and progressively we are working on our way round those that have the greatest number of people especially schools and villages and there is a plan in place”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has commended the Fiji Roads Authority for the work they have done throughout the country.
Bainimarama says FRA has paved a new path forward for Fiji.
