The Fiji Roads Authority confirmed they were not part of the discussion on potholes photography raised by the Land Transport Authority.

FBC News contacted FRA to ask if the requirement made for the public to send potholes photos was justifiable.

FRA Chief Executive Jonathan Moore says they were unaware of the context of the issue raised by LTA.

In a statement, the LTA had said that before making reports on potholes, people must first collect evidence of the pothole in question and the damage caused to their vehicles.

The LTA had also requested people note down the name of the road and whereabouts on the road the pothole is situated.

Meanwhile, the FRA says that if members of the public wish to photograph any issue they find on the highway including potholes they are at liberty to do so.

FRA suggested however, that people direct their concerns to them, not via LTA as this will delay review and resolution.
