The Fiji Roads Authority might fork out more than one hundred thousand dollars to complete the maintenance of the Kasavu slip in Nausori.
FRA Chief Executive Jonathan Moore says according to their last investigation – the amount for the repair stands at $100,000 however, it can be more.
Moore says overseas experts are currently on the site conducting assessments and it’s expected to be completed soon.
“You don’t know the full extent of what you have to do until you start digging into it. We have an assumption to go on for five meters but it can be ten meters and if it’s ten meters, it will cost more money so you won’t know the final details until the job is finish “
Moore says similar slip assessments will be conducted in other parts of the country.
