Design for Lautoka-Nadi four lane complete: FRA

The design for the Lautoka-Nadi four-lane project has been completed.

Fiji Roads Authority chief executive Jonathan Moore, says the replacement of the roads will be conducted in sections and different stages.

The stretch in Lomolomo, Lautoka will be replaced first.

“The first section we will do is the extension of the existing four-lane around Lomolomo Village, Lautoka. So that is the first area of work. That should finish by the end of this year and then we will start work on the other areas.”

Moore says existing bridges will also be replaced.

The upgraded road is expected to ease traffic congestion between Lautoka and Nadi.
