Work on the maintenance of roads in the Central Division continues with the Fiji Roads Authority hoping to improve the standards of the road network.

FRA Maintenance Works Manager Aram Goes says targeting areas of historic high spend for reoccurring potholes will not only save Fiji money in the long run, but provide a smoother, less disruptive journey to the motorists.

Works include repainting road markings, sealed road repairs, pothole patching, and also filling of the very low and uneven shoulders along the edges of sealed roads.

Some of the on going works are on Cunningham Road, McGregor Road, Princess Road, Queen Elizabeth Drive and Ratu Dovi Road.”

The FRA has a plan for all these roads with major rehabilitation projects in the pipeline.
