August 9, 2018 4:49 am

Road repair works on the Mead Road and Princess Road intersection in Tamavua, Suva will begin from 8pm to 6am daily from next Monday.

The work will include upgrading the top section of Mead Road, removing the existing old seal, adding new aggregate and cement stabilizing on the newly added aggregate to strengthen the pavement structure.

The FRA says an asphalt layer will then be applied to the stabilized road to provide a smooth driving surface.

As a result of these road works, partial road closures will be implemented whereby only a single lane will be accessible to motorists while the other lane will be closed off for road works.

Motorists can divert their routes via Loa Street and Lovoni Road to gain access onto Mead Road or Princes Road.

The FRA says their full traffic management will be present on site to guide motorists safely through the site.

Minor traffic delays are expected and travelers along this area are advised to take this notice into account when finalizing their travel plans.

The road repair works are expected to end on the 26th of this month.
