The Fiji Roads Authority claims the current road conditions on Navidamu Road in Labasa has been caused by logging operators.

The FRA says it is aware of the worsening road conditions and is trying to restore emergency access for the buses.

Chief Executive, Jonathan Moore, says the matter has been reported to the Department of Forestry, as the logger has breached its permit conditions by carting logs during the wet weather.

Meanwhile Moore says the FRA will begin repairs on the road from August.
