The 2015 budget for the Ministry of Education is $401.6 million which is an 8.4 percent or $30.7 million increase above the 2014 budget.
MP Netani Rika says he believes that the Government has done well to capture the vision for Fiji in its budget.
“In my view education is the heartbeat of any nation including ours as well as its bedrock grounded firmly in our love for God, one another, our children, our country, our well being and happiness now in the future, while at the same time co-existing with others in this rapidly changing global community.”
Rika says now that the work towards providing access to education for children is forging ahead; the other side of the same coin is quality and this needs to be factored in every aspect of education.
